Easter this year was low key since we just arrived home with Kinsley on Saturday. My parents were in town to help us celebrate.
Kaleb had been eagerly awaiting the Easter Bunny for several weeks and was happy to see the rabbit left him a few goodies Easter morning. We actually had a small brown rabbit that would roam our backyard beginning a few weeks before Easter and we told Kaleb that it was Benny Bunny, the Easter Bunny's brother, checking in on all the little boys and girls to make sure they were being good. Kaleb loved watching for Benny and was sure to be on his best behavior.
The Easter Bunny hid several dozen plastic eggs around the house filled with candy, pennies (Grammy's idea?!) and stickers. Kaleb loved looking for all of them and did great finding them all.
We fixed a scaled back Easter dinner, but managed to convince mom to make the delicious southern sweet potato casserole - yummy! The leftovers will be great for our first week at home with Kinsley. I can't imagine that I will feel like doing much cooking.
Kinsley's Easter was pretty mellow - she slept most of the day. I am sure next year will be quite different with pretty dresses, going to church and the kids fighting over who gets what Easter eggs!
